John Stephenson
Chief Executive Officer
John started at WA Cricket in November 2024 following three years as the CEO of Essex County Cricket Club. A former professional player who featured for England during the 1989 Ashes series, John spent 17 years with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord’s Cricket Ground in numerous roles, including elite cricket, membership, facilities, the ground redevelopment and community programs, prior to becoming the General Manager of London Spirit Men’s and Women’s teams. -
Carla Brayn
GM - People and Culture
Carla joined the WACA in 2007 as Human Resources Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the hospitality and finance industries. Carla is responsible for developing a fit-for-purpose strategic people framework, growing talent and capabilities, pursing wellbeing as a priority, embedding teamwork, and adopting efficient systems and processes. -
Joanna Coubrough
GM - WACA Ground and Support Venues
Joanna joined the WACA in 2012 with over 20 years' of senior management experience, largely across UK venues hosting international events. Joanna is responsible for all operations and facilities at the WACA Ground, including leading the venue delivery of international and domestic cricket matches and other major events. -
Joanna Davies
GM - Community Cricket
Jo started with the WACA in July 2016 with over 25 years' experience working in the sport and recreation industry, at state, national and international level. Most recently, Jo was the inaugural State Manager for the Federal Government's Active After School Communities Program, Manager of the State Government's Physical Activity Taskforce and Manager Regional Services for DSR. -
Kade Harvey
GM - High Performance Cricket & Elite Teams
Kade Harvey joined the WACA in 2014 as Strategic Advisor to Justin Langer for the BBL in 2014-15, and helped the club secure its second championship. Following a successful stint with the BBL side, Harvey was then appointed as a full-time assistant coach with the WACA. Harvey also has an extensive background in business management. In this role, Kade leads the WA Men’s and Women’s State teams, Perth Scorchers, as well as Coaching and Talent Development and Cricket Operations. -
Jess Keily
GM - Communications, Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement
Jess joined WA Cricket in 2017 in the Communications Team and was elevated to General Manager in 2022. A former Sports Journalist, Jess has spent the last five years overseeing the Communications and Digital strategy for the Perth Scorchers and WA Cricket and now drives the Marketing, Partnerships, Digital and Communications teams. -
Justin Michael
Chief Operating Officer
Justin started with the WACA in 2019 and has over 20 years experience in financial management and commercial operations in the retail, travel and foreign exchange industries in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. His most recent roles were General Manager Finance and Administration, Company Secretary of Travellers Choice Ltd and prior to that the Western Australian General Manager of Flight Centre.
