On the 31st of March 2022, most Western Australian workplaces came under a single Work Health and Safety Act that reflects our modern working conditions, and is more consistent with work health and safety laws across Australia.
A volunteer organisation will have WHS duties as a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) under the model WHS laws where one or more persons are employed to carry out work for the organisation.
This legislation is highly likely to include and impact cricket clubs in Western Australia.
