Claremont-Nedlands fast-medium bowler Kelly joined Western Australia on a Rookie contract for the 2016-17 season, having represented WA and Australia at underage level. The metronomic right-armer enjoyed a breakout season in 2017-18, making his One-Day Cup and Sheffield Shield debuts against Tasmania, before being upgraded to a full WA contract the following year. Though injuries have, at times, halted his progress, Kelly has since become one of the State's most dependable bowlers in both red ball and white ball cricket. He is renowned for his discipline and accuracy in the longer form of the game, while Kelly's variations and death bowling are particularly effective in limited overs matches.
