Hailing from Dunsborough in the State's south west, Morris moved to Perth when he was 17 and joined Scarborough Cricket Club. He signed a Rookie contract with WA ahead of the 2018-19 season and was elevated to the senior list in 2020-21. Morris is renowned for his ability to bowl extreme pace and consistently clocks speeds exceeding 145km/h. The exciting quick was one of four players to feature in every game of WA's triumphant 2021-22 Sheffield Shield campaign, finishing the season with 20 wickets at 27.05.
