A tall left arm quick with excellent control and the ability to generate swing, Paris joined WA in 2011-12 on a Rookie contract. He made his debut for WA during a One-Day Cup match against New South Wales in January 2013, before breaking into the Sheffield Shield side in November 2015. Since then, when fit, Paris has been one of the State's most damaging strike bowlers. His talent was recognised by the national selectors when he made his One-Day International debut against India at the WACA Ground in January 2016. Injuries, however, have limited Paris' ability to play regular cricket. The swing bowler played an important role in WA's breakthrough Sheffield Shield title in 2021-22, bowling more overs than any other player to collect 24 wickets at 20.70. He also took his 100th Shield wicket for WA that season, and started the 2022-23 season with the lowest bowling average (22.20) of any player to have taken 100 Sheffield Shield scalps or more for WA.
