A tall left arm quick with excellent control and the ability to generate swing, Paris joined WA in 2011-12 on a Rookie contract. He made his debut for WA during a One-Day Cup match against New South Wales in January 2013, before breaking into the Sheffield Shield side in November 2015. Since then, when fit, Paris has been one of the State's most damaging strike bowlers.

His talent was recognised by the national selectors when he made his One-Day International debut against India at the WACA Ground in January 2016. Injuries, however, have limited Paris' ability to play regular cricket.

The swing bowler played an important role in WA's breakthrough Sheffield Shield title in 2021-22, bowling more overs than any other player to collect 24 wickets at 20.70. He has since carried on his position as the leader of WA's much-vaunted pace bowling attack, leading WA to a hat-trick of Sheffield Shield titles over the past three seasons.

Paris produced a career-best campaign with the ball in 2023-24, finishing the Shield season with 39 wickets at 15.20 in just eight matches. His season included personal-best match figures of 11-113 against South Australia in a Player of the Match performance.

The classy left-armer also played a valuable role in WA's Marsh Cup triumph last season. Paris was selected for the 50-over decider, despite not playing a domestic white-ball fixture for over two years and immediately showed his class, taking 4-21 off nine overs as WA were crowned champions for the third straight summer.
