An Albany product, Jackson defied the long commute from the State's south to earn himself a place on WA's rookie list ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Armed with excellent pace and control, Jackson was among Melville's better First Grade Premier Cricket bowlers that year, taking 28 wickets at 13.75 including hauls of four wickets or more against Perth (5-30) Midland-Guildford and Subiaco-Floreat (4-33).
Consistently restricted by recurrent back and hamstring injuries during his formative years on the list, Jackson finally broke through for his WA debut in February 2024, taking three wickets in a crucial match against Tasmania. The performance went a long way towards WA booking their berth in the One-Day Cup final against NSW.
Jackson's second game, against South Australia at Cricket Central in Sydney in September 2024, yielded 6-31 - the best figures by a WA bower in One-Day Cup history.
The tall right-armer bowls with good pace, swings the ball both ways, and is developing into a dangerous prospect in limited overs cricket.
