January's Volunteer of the Month

WA Cricket wishes to celebrate the contribution of Aaron Worlley from the Bunbury and Districts Cricket Association (BDCA), who was named Volunteer of the Month for January.

Aaron consistently puts the hard yards in and works around the clock to ensure BDCA junior programs are run smoothly and efficiently.

Being an active member of BDCA volunteer community, Aaron has additionally tackled numerous volunteer roles such as being an umpire, coach and committee member.

Aaron also played a crucial hand in the recent WA Cricket Country Cricket Week, coordinating and managing five teams across Junior, Men’s and Women’s divisions.

He arranged the teams, coaches and accommodation for all BDCA participants, allowing them to place their focus on competing in the decades-old competition.

During Junior Country Week, Aaron arranged for the junior team to attend the KFC Big Bash League contest between Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades at Optus Stadium on 7 January, which went down to the wire.

Nominated by a member of his community, Aaron’s nomination showcases the positive impact being a cricket volunteer can have.

Congratulations, Aaron!
