November's Volunteer of the Month

WA Cricket's Volunteer of the Month for November is Kara Stalker from Carnarvon Cricket Blast program.

Kara played an integral role in getting the town’s first cricket blast program up and running, making sure the club had all the resources required to make the sessions fun and inclusive for all youngsters.

Completing all the administrative work to get the program running, Kara created a Facebook group for all parents and participants to share all the information about the cricket blast sessions and weekly reminders.

At the end of each session Kara helped parent helpers with putting together a barbeque dinner for the hungry blasters.

A big personal achievement for Kara was the addition of Toyworld Carnarvon who sponsored ten cricket blaster kids – seven for being little legends and three for being a Blast All Star.

Kara is now in the process of getting the Carnarvon Junior Cricket Council up and running.

WA Cricket would like to thank Kara for going above and beyond for all the work she has done with helping children enjoy a game of cricket with their mates!
