WA Cricket’s Volunteer of the Month for October is Wanderers Cricket Club (WCC) volunteer, Gemma Mann.
October’s Volunteer of the Month
Mann was nominated for her work in getting a standalone under 10’s girls’ team into the WCC junior competition.
This is the first time the club has had an a standalone under 10’s girls’ team, which is a testament to the growth the club is experiencing in the junior cricket competition.
In the set-up, Mann thought outside the box when it came to what uniform the girls would wear to ensure they all felt comfortable and confident when they stepped out to play.
Further to this, Mann has coordinated with WCC senior women’s team to come down to training and help the young girls as well as bring the under 10’s team to their own game for support.
Congratulations to Gemma Mann and thank you for all you are doing to support girls’ cricket in the Mid-West!
