Panthers take home the All-Nations Cup

On Sunday June 30, the All-Nations Cup final - organised by Perth Bengal Club Inc (PBC) - came to an end.

The community T20 competition allowed 64 teams and over 1000 participants to showcase their cricketing skills over the last three months.

The Panthers emerged as winners of the Premier League category after overcoming Virsa Cricket Club in a rematch of the Perth Scorchers Culture Cup grand final held last February.

The All-Nations Cup also had a number of finals across two grades with the complete slate of games and results found at PlayHQ

"Our message is that cricket is an all-year round sport, and this tournament is proof of that," PBC Tournament Committee Chairman Mohammod Monsor said.

"We started off with only four teams over 10 years ago and now we have just completed our biggest competition with 64 teams.

"We would like to thank all of our partners and sponsors for their continued support, and we will continue to provide these opportunities for the community."

WA Cricket Area Manager Metro Alan Singer said it was fantastic to be at the All-Nations Cup Finals Day and participate in the prize-winning ceremony alongside sponsors, local government councillors and other community cricket stakeholders.

“To see so many families from all over Perth coming together to celebrate community cricket during the winter months was a true testament to Monsor and his dedicated committee of volunteers,” he said.

“Being able to provide such an inclusive cricket competition - which continues to grow in participation and with players from so many different backgrounds - is a real credit to the organisers and something WA Cricket hope to continue to support over many more years to come.”

The All-Nations Cup was the second of four Multicultural Community Competitions to be completed across the year, with a further two competitions to come before the Culture Cup begins in January 2025
