The Australian Country Cricket Championships will take place in Newcastle from January 3 – 11 with WA Women and Men’s sides to represent the State against Queensland, Victoria, NSW, ACT, and South Australia
WA squads named for Australian Country Cricket Championships
Laura Croft will captain the Women’s team for the first time as she plays her first tournament for the State after previously representing Victoria, with Tim Hutchison of Bunbury captain of the Men’s side.
There will be a total of twelve debutants across both teams including Cooper Clarke-Dehring from Bunbury who will be the youngest player in the Men’s team as an 18-year-old and will follow in the footsteps of his father who was also a former player at the Country Championships.
Shawn Gillies will step up as coach for the Men’s team as he takes over the role from previous coach Tim Edmunds, with Chris Secker coaching the Women’s side.
