November's Volunteer of the Month

WA Cricket’s Volunteer of the Month for November is Treasurer and Cricket Blast Coordinator of the Port Hedland Cricket Association, Stacey Johnston.

Johnston was nominated for her willingness to wear many hats at the Association while being community focused, generous with her time, and always looking for new and exciting opportunities to provide to Port Hedland juniors.

She is also working to facilitate a Daughters and Dads program in the region to provide further opportunities to young girls in the region to play cricket.

The Cricket Blast program at the Association has seen over 50 registrations this season with Johnston as the coordinator which she runs alongside organising the Men’s North West Cup and Pink Stumps fundraiser, as well as managing the Port Hedland Women’s Desert Rose Cup.

WA Cricket North West Cricket Manager Michael Bailey says Johnston is extremely passionate and always willing to help out anywhere she can.

“She is always actively seeking opportunities for junior cricketers in Hedland and continues to find opportunities to upskill herself to offer and deliver more cricket to the participants.”

Congratulations to Stacey Johnston!
