Star Allrounder Returns For Redbacks Clash

Star allrounder Aaron Hardie will return for Western Australia’s Marsh Sheffield Shield contest with South Australia at the WACA Ground starting tomorrow, Wednesday 15 November.

Hardie was named in the 12-player squad after sitting out recent matches versus New South Wales with a low-grade quad injury sustained against the Redbacks last month.

The 24-year-old has been among the State’s leading performers this season, tallying 229 runs at 57.25 and seven wickets at 27.57 from three Shield games.

Hard-hitting batter Ashton Turner will miss the clash with South Australia to manage soreness in his right knee.

Promising left-arm wrist spinner and last-start debutant Hamish McKenzie also makes way from the team that lost to NSW at the Sydney Cricket Ground last week.

WA, placed third on the Sheffield Shield ladder, are less than a point shy of second-placed South Australia after four rounds.
